At the eve of the 17th Hot Air Balloon Festival, Chevron Caltex hosted a buffet dinner. Guests that evening were people from Hospicio de San Jose, Project Seahorse Foundation (PSF), Smokey Mountain team for Sports, and people from the press, mostly from the leading newspaper, which I was very fortunate to be part of the media invite. All of us were housed in for the night at the very luxurious Hotel Vida.
Speaking that night was Mr. Brian Fisher, Caltex Global Brand Manager of Chevron International Pte Ltd.,introduces its tagline “Enjoy the Journey”, unveiled the game called “Captain Bubbli’s Enjoyable Journey” which features a hot air Balloon. This game is a facebook app that is designed for ages, kids and adults.
With its Brand Manager Veronica Pangilinan says, ” we have been a partner of the Philippine Hot Air Balloon Festival for the longest time as Caltex’ way of supporting tourism in the Country. With more than 100,000 visitors, this year there will be more than 30 odd-looking Air Balloons that will be participating.
Caltex has sponsored Smokey Mountain Team not only in their uniforms as “SUPER STRIKA”, but including their training programs in undergoing training in Soccer. Project Seahorse is a sanctuary of this little harmless creatures in the outskirt islands between Cebu and Bohol. Caltex plays a big part in protecting this sanctuary. Homeless kids of Hospicio de San Jose are assured of their education.
The culminating event was the chance for two (2) lucky riders in one of the Hot Air Balloon Baskets that will be taking off at dawn.
